> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Because of the complexity of the charts the forecast tool is not available on smaller mobile screens. It is available on desktops, laptops and tablets with high resolution screens (at least 600px wide for portrait-mode and 900px in landscape mode).

# What is the Allocation Forecasting Tool?

The Forecasting tool is used to calculate the effect that projected future orders would have on your water allocation level so you can plan when to place your orders. Use the tool to create projected orders and view the resulting changes to your water allocation. When you are satisfied with the results you can convert the projected orders into real orders.

Use the Forecast menu option to access the forecasting tool.

> ℹ️ **Note for Administrators**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ This tool uses the Entitlement Total attribute to calculate the customer’s remaining allocation (the attribute name may vary but the attribute type will always be 11).

# Allocation Forecasting Tool Layout

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Existing orders are automatically added to the table and chart in the Allocation Forecasting tool and will always be available. However, projected orders are only available while you are using the tool. If you navigate away from the Forecasting tool your projected orders **will not be saved** (but you can save your data to a csv file).

- Tap the :listView: **Table View** icon to switch back to table view.

# Working with Projected Orders

## Create a Projected Order

To create a projected order, enter the order details at the top of the table and click Add Order to add it to the table. You can then view the projected usage and allocations in the table or chart.

## Remove a Projected Order from the Table

Click the :deleteSegment: Delete icon beside the projected order to remove it from the table.

## Save Table Data to a csv File

Tap the **Download csv** button to download all the actual and projected orders to a csv file.

## Convert a Projected Order into an Actual Order

To convert a projected order into an actual order, tap the **Request Order** button beside the projected order. The system will copy your order details to the Request Order wizard where you can finish requesting the order.

> ℹ️ **Note**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ The Forecast tool assumes that your projected order consists of a single flow. If you need to change the flow structure or add extra flows you can do that in the Request Order wizard.
